Here I sit at Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference center in Muskegon, MI...one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. One of the most peaceful places I have experienced. Right now it is 1 am and I am listening to our daughter Lindsay and her friend Kirsten sing scripture while Kirsten plays the guitar. So beautiful. Nice to hear after a stressful few days.
Lindsay, Jaime, Benjamin and I are here without Gregg, Tara and Ashley. That's pretty much a setup for disaster in and of itself! Add the fact that we are in the middle of an international adoption (and leaving in a week for court) and that makes the situation worse! To top it all off, on the way here we gave our dog away. Yeah, it's been a bit stressful here so far!
Today was filled with talk of visas, rejected court paperwork, you know, normal stuff! Shortly after hearing of the rejected court paperwork, I heard that our visas (I think) were approved. This is a relief but will be much more of a relief when we have our passports back with the visas in them. A little later (after you all started praying) I had some help from a friend who is here and is a lawyer in compiling adoption law for the state of IL. God is so good at placing those who can help us in just the right place at the right time. God is GREAT! Things seem to be in place for our departure next Wednesday...with a trip to apostille on Monday that is! :)
In the meantime, we have had a lot of girl time and spend some time for a few days taking senior pictures of Jaime. That's been fun. We got some great shots today of her with her cello on the sand dunes and the beach. God's creation is so inspiring. I can't wait to do with the same for Tara next year.
Hoping to get a little time on the beach, but not sure it will happen tomorrow as it's possibly going to rain. And I'm not going to complain about that as we all need rain. Everything is so dry! Whatever happens, I will praise God. Every step of the way He has shown his faithfulness in every detail of our lives. Praising God that someday Timmy will be able to hear of the goodness of God!
Thank you again for your prayers. You will never know what a part you have had in bringing home our son. Praise the Lord for you all!
