We walked into court and I don't think either of us were really nervous. We were anxious maybe? We wanted court to be done. We were anticipating the questions we would be asked. I have to say that my husband did a wonderful job in court! He answered precisely just as we were coached (thanks to Lidia and Elena!) and we were not asked to tell any false facts, which is a huge blessing. The public prosecutor, who was the person who gave us so much trouble last time (different person, same position) asked us NO questions in follow up to the judge's examination! CRAZY! In fact afterwards, she told Elena (our translator) that we are a very nice family and that Ruslan is very lucky to have such experienced adoptive parents to take him home. The court secretary was the same one who we had two years ago. She told us that she remembered how hard it was (she cried!) and that she is so happy that it went so easily this time! Everyone spoke very positively and we were asked nothing "hard." So there you go! When God is involved, He speaks and it happens! Benjamin and Timothy will be brothers and our girls will have two brothers now! SIX children! How did THAT happen? lol Guess I better line up my psychiatrist appointments! ha ha
Thank you all for praying and for following our journey. We are not done yet though. We travel back to the states on Thursday. We will leave September 1 to arrive September 3 in Abakan, will pick up Timothy and drive straight back to Krasnoyarsk to begin paperwork. We will leave Krasnoyarsk two days later and go to Moscow to work on his visa and register him with the Russian embassy. THEN, we will bring him home, maybe...September 12? That's a guess. Anyway, thank you again and I am so pleased you can share in our joy!

awesome, awesome, awesome - the power of prayer and preparation! Congratulations to all of you! Carole
