Psalm 68:6 "God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy." This blog details our journey to our second son. We adopted our first son in June 2010 and have felt God calling us back to Russia to complete our family.

First paperwork done!
Gregg and I had a busy weekend working on paperwork. We started by driving down to Springfield to allow me, Gregg, Ashley and Lindsay all to be in the same room so we could sign the CWA contract in the presence of a notary. Then we returned to Peoria and make copies and mailed the application packet off to Flat Rock. Saturday we drove to Macomb to watch our Dunlap Marching Eagles win grand champions in the band competition at Western IL University. That was exciting. On the way there and back I wrote our home study autobiography, finishing up Gregg's part this afternoon. It is now ready to be sent off to our home study provider. We are hoping to get the home study underway very quickly. We should be assigned to a caseworker officially at CWA this week and then we will have the list of dossier requirements. Though we are pretty familiar with what is required, it will be nice to have this official list. Exciting times!
