Yep! We did it! We committed to adopt another son from Russia two days ago! We have been talking about it for some time (pretty much since we brought Benjamin home in June 2010) but a series of events led us to jump in the other day.
One of our hesitations is that we have yet to receive our tax credit for our last adoption from the IRS. As frustrating as that is, we are trusting that God will make that happen soon.
We were nudged a little bit more that morning by news of a decent sized bonus for Gregg at work that should be coming as well as an offer for some additional work for me. Next I received an email from Christian World Adoption telling us that they were offering a reduction in the international fee for the next 24 families to apply to the Russian program.
That night Gregg and I listed out the pros and cons of this adoption. Basically none of the cons were things that were not there when we went ahead to adopt Benjamin. The long and short of it had Gregg sitting at his computer watching the video for "When Loves Takes You In" and when the ending credits came across the screen making a plea for orphans around the world...well...Gregg told me to submit our application to adopt! :)
God is at work in this and we know it. His promises are aplenty and his blessings immense. Most of all Gregg and I know that we are following His call to adopt and that we are considering everything we have to be His, only doing what He would have us do for His glory only.
As we begin this process that we have already heard is "strange" and making people wonder "why do you need more kids?" we reflect on God's call in our lives to live by James 1:27. "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." He truly places the lonely in families. May we be a family who welcomes this little one and comforts him with open arms!
Our family welcomes you on this journey and ask that you partner with us in prayer as we begin our trek! Blessings to you all!

SO excited to follow your new journey!:) Praising God that another orphan will have a family to tell him about JESUS! WOO-HOO!!
