Psalm 68:6 "God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy." This blog details our journey to our second son. We adopted our first son in June 2010 and have felt God calling us back to Russia to complete our family.

Timmy's surgery and recovery
Monday Timmy had his tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy and was circumcized. Poor little boy! He woke up and didn't know what had happened to him! We had to be at the hospital at 5:30 am that morning and his surgery was at 7 am. At about 8 am it was all over and we were able to see him in his room at 9 am. The doctor said his tonsils and adenoids were "humongous" so we're glad they are gone. His recovery in the hospital was great. He was having issues with his breathing again but was on a monitor so that was reassuring. Now that he's home, we're dealing with a bit more pain management issues but his breathing seems to be somewhat better. I am hopeful as we work past day four (which is supposed to be the worst day) that we will make it.
Tonight Jaime and some friends took Timmy and Benjamin trick or treating a little bit with Timmy in the stroller. He grinned and tried to have fun but came back pretty painful. He's been a trooper, I must say.
I am thankful we are past the surgery but ready to have his sweet spirit back. Thank you all for your continued prayers! Much love to you!
