Psalm 68:6 "God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy." This blog details our journey to our second son. We adopted our first son in June 2010 and have felt God calling us back to Russia to complete our family.

Health update
Tuesday we received the sleep test results taken two weeks ago. We had been waiting for these results SO long! Timmy continues to not sleep soundly and wakes many, many times a night. We just need a solution.
Well, we heard good and bad news from the test. We actually got a referral to the Ear Nose and Throat doctor on Thursday which was wonderful! He filled us in on more of the results then. He told us that not only does Timmy have obstructive sleep apnea, he also has central sleep apnea.
What does this mean? Well, we are removing his tonsils and adenoids on October 29. This should HELP with this sleep apnea issues. The problem is that because he also has central sleep apnea, he could still have issues. Central sleep apnea means his brain does not tell his body to breathe periodically while he is sleeping and possibly even while he is awake. They told us his oxygen level was going really low. So this has a lot of health effects associated with it.
We are going ahead with the tonsillectomy on the 29th but are praying that this will help him more than the doctors think it will. We know that our heavenly Father is in control here and are asking the He work in him to help to solve this problem.
He will be staying overnight for his tonsillectomy because there is a relationship with anesthesia and sleep apnea having bigger issues. Pray for our little boy as we attempt to solve this issue. And pray for our family as we figure out how to handle Benjamin while we are at the hospital with Timmy. Thank you!
As far as his adjustment otherwise, he's doing great. We spent yesterday in St. Louis at a band competition. He was so good. The boys were both great in fact. We even had people complimenting us on how well behaved our children were! I remember getting these comments when the girls were young. It was such a boost in parental confidence. :) Anyway, he's doing great and we are thankful for that.
Until next time!
