3rd trip coming together

Last night Gregg and I purchased plane tickets for our third trip. We will leave September 1 and return September 12. Gregg expressed it well last night when he said, I can't wait until we have him home and we can get over this jetlag! It seems that as soon as things begin to get better in the sleep department, we are ready to leave for another trip! This time, though, I'm not thinking he is remembering that we will come home with a new little boy with his own schedule! :) We will soon adjust. It will be fine.

Benjamin will be traveling with us this trip. I'm not sure it's the best decision but pretty much the only one we have at this point. I don't think being away from us for 11 more days will be good for him. He has shown a little "wear" from us being gone these last two trips, even though he had great care and enjoyed himself. It's just a little rough when we first come back. I think he will be better off to just be with us and experience what we're experiencing, even if he doesn't understand it all.

I have been contacting doctors this week. We know there are at least five specialists we will need to at least touch base with when we bring home Timmy. I am hoping to have a conversation with our pediatrician this week so we can get some direction on how to proceed.

As in true adoption fashion, everything has begun to break around here. We came home to a dryer not working first trip (the extra one in the basement) and the other dryer second trip (our main one). Today we have the cable guy coming out and had a hot tub repairman here because the hot tub was leaking. When it rains it pours. But Satan's not going to get me down! We will persevere!

Our time is so close now to bringing our son home, it is a little surreal. I know that once again our lives will change. We will be transitioning for a little while and that's ok. I look forward to being done with the travel though and just living in our house with  our kids. Two will be off at college when we bring Timmy home. That's kind of sad. Before we leave on our trip we take Lindsay to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and Ashley to U of I Springfield. Crazy life we're living here! Pray for us! :)

Until next time...
